How to Use EFT to Clear Inner Clutter
To one degree or another, we’re all carrying the past around inside our bodies, and this creates inner clutter. What I mean by this is that feelings about painful or otherwise difficult experiences that we've had in the past, whether it was yesterday or thirty years ago, get stuck in our body-mind, and stuck they remain. This is a spontaneous occurrence--it's not our fault, we're not doing it, it's just what happens.
As the saying goes, "Your issues are in your tissues." They're not just between your ears! This inner clutter affects every aspect of our lives, in both conscious and unconscious ways, and continues to do so until it is released, once and for all. EFT is hands-down, the single most effective way to do this, and your inner clutter, no matter how painful or overwhelming, is no match for it! To help you identify and release it, I've created this tapping script.
HOW TO USE THIS SCRIPT
As with all of my tapping scripts, these statements can be used as is, or modified in any way that makes them resonate more fully with your experience. Some of them will fit for you, and some will not. Just use the ones that fit your experience and have an emotional charge.
You may notice that when you start tapping on these statements, thoughts and feelings will arise that you can then turn into new tapping statements, which will then give rise to still more thoughts and feelings, which you can use to create additional tapping statements, and so on.
I call this following the thread, and it’s a very efficient way to heal and release a lot of painful feelings in a short amount of time.
If, when working with this tapping script, you get stuck, aren't getting the results you'd like to get, or would simply like to have the support and guidance of an experienced professional, I recommend working with a trained EFT practitioner.
THE TAPPING STATEMENTS
I have some inner clutter I want to be free from but I don't really know where to start.
I know I have inner obstacles blocking my way to the life I want to have, and I'm ready to release them now.
I'm so overwhelmed with everything I need and want to do that I feel sort of paralyzed.
When I get overwhelmed, I can't even think clearly, let alone take effective action.
I feel really overwhelmed, and that's making it hard for me to get organized.
One of my inner obstacles is doubt, and I choose to focus on that now so that it can be released.
I choose to free myself from doubts, limiting beliefs, and fear of failure.
Some of my inner clutter shows up as the voices of people from my past, and I choose to quiet those voices now.
I wish I could quiet all of the stressful chatter in my mind.
It's hard to focus on achieving my goals when my mind is frantically jumping from one stressful thought to another.
I have so many goals that I want to achieve, but with everything I have going on, it really seems like there's not enough time in the day to devote to them.
I had a rough childhood, and sometimes I feel like it's holding me back.
When I think about the kind of life I'd really like to have, my mind fills with reasons why it's not possible.
I have a lot of regrets about my past, and I'd like to release those now to create some inner space for myself.
I have a lot of fears about the future, and I can feel them holding me back.
I have a lot of doubts about my own abilities, and I know that they keep me from taking action.
I choose to identify and release the doubts I have about my own abilities.
Some things have happened in my past that I know are still affecting me today, and I really wish I could be free of them.
I've had some experiences that have made me feel really bad about myself, and I would like to identify and release those now.
The hardest part about taking steps toward the life of my dreams is the voice of doubt that creeps in and says, "It'll never happen."
My to-do list is so long that I will never get through it, and that feeling really drags me down.
Though I don't intentionally harbor resentments, there are some people I'm angry at, and I choose to heal that anger now.
My parents didn't believe in me, and that makes it hard for me to believe in myself.
Sometimes I really feel haunted by things that have happened in the past, and I can feel how it affects the way I see the future.
No matter how hard I try to stay positive, sometimes my mind is ruled by negative thoughts, fears, and limiting beliefs.
I wish I could wave a magic wand to clear away all of the inner obstacles I have to a life of true joy, fulfillment, love, and prosperity.
I choose to identify the inner clutter I have and gently tap it away.
PLEASE NOTE
When doing EFT tapping on your own, if you aren't able to completely heal the issue you're working on, so that when you think about it, it no longer causes any stress, emotional pain, anger, or fear, I recommend working with a professional EFT practitioner.
